Hello friends, it’s been a wild time here both personally and professionally, but it’s “good busy” with a lot of great stuff coming down the pipeline. I’d be remiss if I didn’t try to sneak in an article for this little gaming site of mine to add to the good vibes. Naturally, I figured a most anticipated list would be the place to start with my first article of the year.

While it won’t be as stacked as last year’s list, I think there are still some gems here in the future. Plus, you never know what the future holds. Let’s rock.

Digimon Alysion

The Digimon Alysion start screen

2026 is going to be the year of Digimon for me, I can already tell. I’m 40 hours into Digimon Story: Time Stranger and counting, I’m picking up the Digimon TCG, and I’m waiting, hoping, and praying for Digimon Alysion to drop. There’s no mention of a release date but I figure it has to come out sometime in 2026 to capitalize on a strong beta performance.

In case you missed it, here’s my write-up for the Digimon Alysion beta from last summer.

Warhammer Survivors

Take the incredibly addicting Vampire Survivors bullet hell roguelike, slap a Warhammer coat of paint on it, and you’ve got Warhammer Survivors. This will be Auroch Digital’s second Warhammer title following 2023’s Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun and will be developed alongside Vampire Survivors dev poncle.

According to the game’s official press release, “Warhammer Survivors takes the relentless and charming pixel-vomit gameplay and fuses it with the globally renowned grimdark of the Warhammer universes.” Players can assume the role of many characters throughout the Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar universes, including Malum Caedo, the titular hero from Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, a Cadian Shock Trooper, Trooper Kozlowski, Brother Luca, Neave Blacktalon, Gotrek Gurnisson, and Sharynn Azurwrath. Let’s all pray simultaneously for Marius Titus from the Space Marine games.

Warhammer Survivors also promises an array of Warhammer weapons including the Boltgun, Astartes Chainsword, and Whirlwind Axes, alongside glorious easter eggs such as the humble pot of Citadel Nuln Oil paint.

The game has no exact release date but is currently slated for a 2026 release.

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

I feel like MOUSE: P.I. For Hire has been in development forever, but that’s probably because I’ve been eagerly anticipating its arrival since it was first announced in 2023. MOUSE is a DOOM-inspired action shooter with a 1940s rubber hose bigfoot cartoon aesthetic that’s right in the wheelhouse for old school shooting fans and old school cartoon fans.

But there are no space marines here, instead you assume the role of Jack Pepper, a private investigator tasked with discovering the happenings on the “dark side of town.” Cheddar’s adventure takes him to all corners, including, but not limited to, a bank, a warehouse, a Nazi-inspired rally, and the depths of hell, complete with cartoonish Cacodemons.

Jack won’t just be armed with a peashooter, though — he’ll have a full arsenal of weapons to choose from, including crackling Tommy guns, a literal bonesaw, explosive firepower, giant experimental weapons, and even a can of spinach to defeat his foes. Just like DOOM, players will use a mix of combat styles that adjust to play style preferences to defeat enemies in epic fights and challenging boss battles.

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire releases on March 19, 2026. You can wishlist and preorder the game on your platform of choice today.

Arms of God

Look. Clearly, I have a type, and that type is hyperviolent action shooters with simultaneous divine and Satanic imagery. Arms of God scratches all the itches I could possibly have.

Arms of God is being developed by solo developer Dominik Sójka of Dark Jay Studio, and is a top-down dark-themed auto-shooter, inspired by titles like DOOM, Brotato, and Diablo, is set to launch in the first quarter of 2026.

From the official press release: “Arms of God plunges players into a post-apocalyptic world, where they assume the role of one of the last surviving warriors of an ancient Templar order. Their mission: to battle relentless demonic hordes unleashed upon Earth – ironically, in the name of God by… the Church. Players will journey through crumbling cityscapes, shadowy forests, and desolate suburbs, ultimately reaching the ruins of a once-sacred Cathedral to uncover the truth.

The game offers a fresh take on the auto-shooter genre, blending a richly atmospheric gothic aesthetic with visceral, satisfying combat and a deep progression system. Players can equip up to five weapons at once, all of which can be upgraded and combined freely to create devastating loadouts. Strategic character building, fast-paced gameplay, and a robust metaprogression system, centered on rebuilding the lost stronghold of the Templar Order – The Cathedral – add further depth to the experience.”

That’s it! Please consider subscribing if you made it this far and let me know in the comments what you’re looking forward to this year!
