It’s been a long couple of weeks but there’s finally some good news — Rooster Teeth is back. After shuttering as part of David Zaslav and Warner Bros. Discovery’s war against creative people last year, Rooster Teeth founder Burnie Burns, and his independent company, Box Canyon Productions have saved the company’s name and many of its assets.

The company announced the news via press release, saying, “This milestone marks a new chapter for Rooster Teeth as it returns to the hands of its original creator as part of his company Box Canyon Productions. Under Burns’ leadership, the historic brand plans to renew its focus on innovation, community engagement, and the spirit of creativity that first defined its success.”

Burns and company will begin a new development slate of productions for 2025, including renewed production of some of the platform’s classic shows, a new original audio adventure “Again,” and an untitled reimagining of Burns’ first film “The Schedule.”

“I am excited at the challenge of bringing Rooster Teeth back to its roots,” said Burns. “The heart of this brand has always been its fans, and I look forward to writing a new chapter together.” As an early pioneer of online video content, Rooster Teeth set the standard for how fan-first entertainment could thrive in the digital age. With Burns back at the helm, fans can anticipate a renewed dedication to Rooster Teeth’s original mission: to entertain, inspire, and connect.

Rooster Teeth was shut down by WBD last year and its parts were set to be scrapped and sold to the highest bidders, mostly because David Zaslav has no talent and hates talented people because of it. He is nothing more than a stooge who is getting ready to sell WBD to the highest bidder where he can then leave with his golden parachute to ruin his next media entity. Zaslav is a cancer on the media industry and the world will be a better place when he’s gone.

Monologing aside, there’s been no word yet on if Rooster Teeth re-acquired series like “RWBY” or the Michael B. Jordan anime “Gen.Lock.” “RWBY” was acquired by Viz last year as part of the sell-off.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, it’s time to go binge “Red vs. Blue” for the 800th time.
